Is aoibhinn liom an cúrsa!  D’fhoghlaim me a lán, and cuimhním ar níos mó - sin an rud is tábhachtaí.   Bhí craic and spóirt iontach agam!

This course was fantastic value for money, not only learning a lot, it felt like a real holiday it was so relaxing! I went to brush up on my Irish to apply for a postgrad in teaching and it worked! I got accepted on to the course and rediscovered my love of Irish.  The teaching methods Brid uses are practical, hands on and very flexible. She is very responsive to her students and the class sizes are nice and small guaranteeing maximum attention. You learn without realising you are.  We did so many activities from the classroom, to cycling, basket making, fishing, trips on the currach etc so therefore our vocabulary varied and we learned so much everyday.  Inis Oírr is a great place to learn Irish aside from the great classes and teaching the lslanders are very welcoming and encouraging to those learning Irish. There is also a lot of craic in the evenings, great restaurants, pubs a fantastic tea shop and trad sessions every night.
I cannot recommend this course highly enough.

I am thrilled to hear that you are continuing with your Gaeilge courses. I think my week in Inis Oirr was one of the most enjoyable holidays I ever had. Everything about the Island was so beautiful, interesting and relaxing. We walked, talked, swam, laughed, fished, danced........all while practising and improving our Irish.
Tá mé brodúil as mo chuid Gaeilge anois agus táim ag súil le turas eile go hInis Oírr.  My stay at Brid Poil's B&B was a real treat. I had only to mention that I liked something and it magically appeared the following day ( eg GOJI BERRIES ). Wonderful. A lovely surprise was finding some Bee Orchids. Brid P. told me where to find them.
Go n'éirigh an t-ádh leat, a Bhríd, leis an togra nua. (Margaret Hogan)

Bhí an cúrsa ana mhaith.  Bhain mé an-taitneamh as.
The role play gave us a chance to learn and speak - hear and say.
Facilitator was encouraging and sympathetic which gave students confidence to try.
Enjoyed the structure of theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon.  Plenty of activities available which was encouraging.
Overall the ability of the facilitator ensured an "inclusive" feeling.
I really enjoyed everything

  • The course was great.  Reason for the above was the mix of learning in the classroom and the activity throughout the week.
  • Walking and weaving was A1.
  • Role play and instruction in telephone conversation excellent.

Bhain mé an-sult as na ranganna.  Is múinteoir nádúra thú!  I learned lots - the classes were very interesting, very well prepared and lots of variety and activities.  Great fun.  You brought out the best in the group and there was great participation.  There was no pressure - that made it easier to learn - I learned without even realising I was learning - it came naturally!  The exercises and role-play were very good.
